Milton Teltser Obituary

Teltser , Milton, 86, of Pembroke Pines, passed away December 4, 2006. He was born March 23, 1920 in NY, NY. He was married to the late Belle Biarsky (d. March 1, 2006) since March 2, 1952. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Matthew Teltser and wife Nora of Hollywood and their children, Alexis, Warren and Samantha and Michael and wife Andrea of Ambler, PA, and their daughters, Zoe and Grace; two sisters Margaret Sharfstein of Pembroke Pines and Sylvia Sherman of Jacksonville,Fl. After graduating Rutgers Univ with a degree in accounting he enlisted in the Army Air Force and graduated Officers' Training School as a Captain. He was piloting his plane, nicknamed Pudgy, a B24 Liberator, part of the 93rd Bombardment Group, 330th Squadron, when he was shot down Aug 1, 1943. His mission was part of the large Ploesti raid to bomb the oil fields of Rumania. Milton survived the crash landing, his wounds and 13 months as a Jewish prisoner-of-war. His medals include the Distiguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Purple Heart. After the war he went on to build a successful real estate and insurance business including his family business, Breakers Realty. His favorite past time was golf, and he earned several club championships and 3 hole-in-ones. He excelled in duplicate bridge in his later years. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Services graveside are being held today at the Temple Beth El Memorial Gardens, 4900 Griffin Rd, Davie, Fl at 2pm.
