Oscar was my nieces' and nephew's grandfather and therefore wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to the whole family. It's nice to know that Oscar had all of his children and grandchildren around him until the very end, as he was for them.
Keep the memories alive.

For the sake of correctness, my brother, Oscar T. Ziel, Jr., was born in September, not August, as was noted in the preliminary Sun-Sentinel obituary.
Before his move to Florida, Oscar ran a dairy farm with 300 Holstein cattle. His dairy farm milk production exceeded the capacity of local dairies to utilize his production so that he was forced to auction off his herd and equipment.
I respect the rigors of his farm life. I am a retired obstetrician who has attended 6,000 deliveries. Yet, the hardest delivery I have ever experienced was when, as a youth, I assisted my brother deliver a calf on a hot, humid summer day on a muddy stream bed in a Pennsylvania pasture. Added to Oscar's credits must be his life long dedication and care for his farm animals!

Ocsar took care of my pool at two different locations for almost 20 years, he was a very kind, thoughtful man. When a hurricane was heading toward us and I didn't know what to do with my pool he came to my house within an hour to sooth my nerves and take care of the pool, my Mom and I will remember his kindness always. Our thoughts are with the entire family.

I'll miss "Poppie" driving bye our house everyday, honking his horn at me to come out and give me updates on the business, or to give me something to do, and to give me a funny joke to copy so he can pass it around. He was a kind man and he will be missed in a big way. He always said SO LONG to me.. Now I guess I'll have to say it to him. So long Oscar, we love you.
