Peter Speier

Peter M. Speier, 81, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away on May 21, 2019, in his home in St. Andrews Country Club. He was born in New York NY, to Ruth and Ferdinand Speier on 29 December 1937. He graduated from Buffalo University.Peter Speier served as a Vice Chairman of Savills Studley, Inc. (now Savills). Since beginning his career with Studley in 1966, he was responsible for closing commercial space transactions totaling in excess of 35 million square feet and is recognized as one of the leading tenant representation consultants in the United States, playing a key role in several of the largest and most complex real estate transactions. Peter opened many offices throughout the US and earned the title, Dean of Commercial Real Estate. He represented prestigious law firms like Arnold & Porter and Morgan Lewis,Hogan & Hartson, and corporations like Price Waterhouse Coopers/PwC) and U.S. News & World Report. Peter mentored many in the industry, was a frequent lecturer before professional and industry groups, and listed in Who's Who in Real Estate.Peter is survived by his cherished wife and best friend, Janyce Dean Speier, and children: Eric Speier, wife Katya; David Speier, wife Ginny and children, Josh and Aly; Jessica Speier Marty, husband Jose Marty, and children, Frankie, Elliana, and Luccas; Samantha Speier, partner Andrew Henderson; Justyn Speier, wife Roxy, and son, Carl; Ryan Speier and partner, Lauren Berlyne. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 on Friday, 24 May 2019, at the Gardens of Boca Raton (4103 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL). Shiva will be held from 1:30 to 5:00 at the St. Andrews Country Club Lakeside Grill, 17557 Claridge Oval W., Boca Raton, FL.
