Robert Loeb

Robert William Loeb left us on March 26, 2014. He leaves sons, Jeffrey Loeb (Kathryn) of Minnesota and Steven Loeb (Debbie) of Michigan, and daughters Valerie Retan (Michael) of Texas and Debra Rosenberg (Marc) of New Jersey; grandchildren Austin, Jansen, Nikki, Joey, Jessica, Julian, Allison, Danielle, Samuel, Sarah, and Lauren; great grandchildren Elijah, Victoria, April and Luther; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by Barbara, his beloved wife and partner of 55 years. Bob, or Robby, was born in Rotterdam, Holland, son of Florry and William Loeb on June 3rd, 1932. He immigrated to Miami Beach, Florida, as a boy, and loved attending Beach High. He worked as a "cabana boy" throughout high school. On March 18, 1955, Bob married Barbara Francine Zeit. Bob and Barbara moved around the country with their four children as Bob worked as a cattle buyer. After the kids were grown, they settled down in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, but couldn't wait to retire and move back to the Miami Beach area. They settled in Hallandale, Florida in 1997, and never looked back! Bob's smile and laugh were infectious. He always had a positive attitude and a joke ready for anyone he happened to meet. He loved to travel, whether it was by land, sea, or air. The funeral is being held at Levitt Weinstein/Beth David Memorial Chapel at 3201 NW 72nd Ave. in Hollywood on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. 954-963-2400
