Ruby Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR Taylor, Ruby Williams, 86, died August 31, 2002 in Boca Raton, FL. She was born in Salem, VA. She became a Registered Nurse after completing her training in 1938 at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. The next year she married Benson Taylor Jr., who died in May 2002. She worked at Saint Elizabeths for several years after graduation, and later taught mother and baby care. She spent most of her career in occupational health nursing, first with Capital Airlines at Washington National Airport, and later for 19 years (8 as supervisor) at the Pentagon as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense, retiring in 1974. She is survived by sons: Robert Benson (Sharon) of Jacksonville and William Walter (Maria and Sarah) of Hollywood; by granddaughter, Kim (Robert) Taylor McComas; and by great-grandsons: Andrew and Colin, all of Vienna, VA. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Edgewater Point Estates, 23315 Blue Water Circle, Boca Raton, FL on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 2:00 PM. Donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers are suggested. Arrangements were made by: KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 1353 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 561-395-1800.
