Susan Lawless Obituary

With great sadness I inform you that Sue passed away August 20, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Sue was born April 28, 1950 and grew up in Mendham NJ. Sue is survived by her husband John A. Lawless (Vero Beach), son Jay Gallentine (Anne) and twin brothers Jack (Stony) Michenfelder and Pete (Joyce) Michenfelder. She later married Kenny Orzel and then moved to FL but they divorced and in 1994 married Bill Watson and lived in Ft. Lauderdale. Sue worked as an administrative assistant with A.T.&T. and retired after 34 years. She then worked at Pine Crest School for 8 years. Her husband Bill died in 2018 after a battle with cancer. Sue later married the final love of her life John A.Lawless June 16, 2021 and they lived very happily in Vero Beach where they attended Vero Christian Church. Sue lived her life well and said the last three years with John were the happiest - she had a man who treated her like a princess on a pedestal, had her dream home, and her dream car (a new Corvette). I thank God for allowing Sue and I to have these wonderful three years together. My heart is broken but I know she is at peace. If anyone desires more info contact John at [email protected]

My sweet friend Sue, I met you in the Lower school office at PC. We immediately connected...you encouraged me to start yoga class ....how you amazed me with your poses. And then our adventures began...shelling at the Boca Inlet...of course we had to enjoy our wine ..my walkway is filled with shells and coral because of you...our visits to Orchid shows.......the Pompano Seafood festival and our tradition of going to the Italian festival with Sheree...one of those visits was with your mom...of course I had to give you a hard time about your Yankees because I was a Red Sox fan...dinners to Kelly´s. I still can´t believe you are gone ..you had so much more life to share with all your dear friends....but you are everywhere in my home candles, lighthouses.. I see you everywhere...rest easy Sue and fly with the angels...May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Sue, It was scary moving from Southern Bell in Miami to AT&T in Pompano until I sat next to you and it was game on!! Work became so much fun that I could hardly believe it was a job. I will remember our lunches every day as well as our after work adventures for the rest of my life. I miss you Sussssie girl and will love you the rest of my life!! I only wish I would have met the new love of your life so we could create new memories. Rest peacefully my dear friend and I will see you in the future!!

Sue was a beautiful soul, we grew up in the same neighborhood, had many a great game of baseball . Ice skating on Cosma Lake across the street. Trying to tell her brothers apart. Loved that barn red house. R.I.P Beautiful Lady!
