Exhibit "A" that one can be successful both in a material and spiritual sense and do so being a gentleman. Tom's life shows you can do just fine not by being the meanest in the valley. In fact, Tom was the nicest, and his life shows that, indeed, nice guys do finish 1st.

Thinking of Tom again today. Such a larger than life guy. We felt privileged to be his friend. Love again to Janie. Bobbi and Steve Berkman

I first met Tom in 1950 when he played tennis on my dad's team at Bellevue High. Tom's kindness and generosity to my parents, Roger and Vivian Klein, was without compare. He never forgot where he came from or those that remained there. My sympathies go out to his family at this time.

To the Cundy Family,
Your Alpha Tau Omega family sends our deepest sympathies on the loss of our Brother Cundy. Mr Cundy was an icon within the ATO and FSU communities and he will be remembered with love and respect.
Many of my fondest memories at FSU included my times with all the Cundy boys.
May God be with you all during this difficult time and one final Go Noles from the ATO family.

The community of Bellevue, KY. will always remember one of its favorite sons, Tom Cundy. He gave so much back to his beloved "Hometown." Tom's spirit will live on in the hallways of Bellevue High School and the tennis courts at the Roger Klein Tennis Center. He will be missed!

In life you rarely come across individuals that just simply captivate you, inspire you, and descend knowledge upon you with every breath. Tom Cundy was one of those personalities. This was a man that was able to take every lesson, mistake, and experience work in his favor, and in embracing that practice he built a character and foundation that was steady, unwavering, and compassionate, yet just. He had the ability to see past societies barriers, and to make everyone around him feel like they were the only person in the room. He taught me how to be better, how to remain positive, how to prioritize, and how to be patient in literally every story he would tell me. Tom would recite his stories as not only to entertain, but to see if he could pass on a life lesson. Those of us fortunate enough to have been on the receiving end of those stories are better people for it.
I can only speculate, but think Tom Cundy would want to be remembered as a man that fought with every cell in his body for what he believed in, what he thought was fair, and did that in order to leave behind a legacy, not professionally, but a legacy inspiring all of us to do the same; to do what we think is right in our heart. He was kind to everyone, and in in combining that with a larger than life personality is what made him so loved, and is what will keep him alive forever. Everyone knows the stories of the USMC, his dedication to our nation's Veterans, the days of taking coal from the train to heat his parent's house, growing up poor, his achievements as an athlete, his persistence in sales, his quintessential salesman inside, his unwillingness to give up, his stern belief in being on time, and honest, his ability to take 10 minutes for ANYONE, his commitment to charity, his love for his family, his ability to put on the show, and yet his ability to go every morning to Publix for bananas to the same cashier, and pull out the check card.
I will miss you my friend. All I can do now is promise you that I will do my best to carry on some of what you have taught me. Dave and I will rekindle the stories over a Bud Light or four (your beer of choice). Thank you for loving me, and lending an ear. I know I will never have another friend like you ever again.
Semper Fi…Oorah!
Love, David

Saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. To me, TC Sr. epitomized the "guys guy" and was a true American success story. We'll be keeping a good thought for you all as you get through these tough days and take comfort in knowing that God now has another great Seminole in his house.

I had the privelage to meet Mr. Cundy years ago while visiting my great grandmother Esther Greer. He was always so kind and generous. He gave my Nana and I matching sweaters with our name embroidered on them. I still have mine this very day. My thoughts and prayers go to all the family and I know he will be missed greatly.

I have some of the fondest memories while growing up as Mr. Cundy's neighbor. He would greet me and my sister with a smile and ask us how we were doing every time he saw us. One example of the generosity and kindness of Mr. & Mrs. Cundy would be the time I went from house to house selling chocolates for a charitable cause called Operation Smile. Living right next door to the Cundy's, their house was my first stop. After explaining the benefits of the charity I was representing the Cundys bought my full box of chocolates on the spot. Mr. Cundy was someone I looked up to and admired while growing up. He will be missed and my prayers go out to his family.

TC was the epitome of an Entrepreneur, Horatio Alger Award winner and truly a Great American. I met Tom on a flight to DC and we were both amazed about the fact that we both lived in Ft. Lauderdale, our first names were the same, our boys names were the same, our children went to the same high schools and universities and we lived in the same neighborhood for years but never met. He treated my son David, like one of his own and I felt the same about his. He believed in their dreams and motivated everyone to achieve their personal & professional goals. He truly had a genuine passion for life. I introduced TC to some close friends on a regular basis when they would visit and even if they only met him once, they would never forget TC and the positive and lasting impression he had on everyone he met. Everyone always left his office with one of TC's goodie bags and he would even give them a signed book by Joe Demagio or some memorabilia if they displayed an interest in his collection. I know his family and friends will always cherish all the good times they had together, the memories he created, the inspiration he bestowed, the business relationships he built, the lunches at YOLO and dinners at Joe's. He cared more about others than himself.
He was proud of his family and cherished every moment he spent with them and all his friends. Tom was one of the most compassionate, generous and inspiring people I have ever met. He was the real deal, genuine, sincere and always interested and available to share good stories.
We will never forget you and the difference you made in every life you touched. Semper Fi

Mr Cundy was a shining example of a "Great American Man" who started out with nothing, but with incredible discipline and hard and "HONEST" work habits, was able to achieve was able to achieve so much and help so many people. MR Cundy was the "General Patton" of the business world. If you were depressed or struggling in business, Mr Cundy would cheer you up in a heart beat and make you feel like what was bothering you seem smaller than an ant. Simply, MR Cundy did everything right! while other people were complaining, MR Cundy was working, While other people were getting into trouble at bars or what have you, MR Cundy was doing everything he could to raise his wonderful family to the best of his ability. MR Cundy should best be known for doing all he could every hour of every day of his legendary life. MR Cundy, You will be sorely missed. God Bless you and your incredible family.
