James William Myers III, 68, of Sweetwater, TX passed away on Sunday June 4th, 2023, surrounded by family.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Friday June 9th at McCoy Funeral Home, 401 E. 3rd St. Sweetwater, TX 79556.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 10th, 2023, 1pm-3pm, at McCoy Funeral Home with Richard Acuna of Avondale Baptist Church officiating.
Family members plan to honor his wish to have his ashes spread on his most favorite route to Lake Sweetwater.
Born in Baird, TX on July 21, 1954, to James William Myers Jr., and Evelyn Ruth Turner (Myers). James worked as a derrick hand for TNR Oilfield for many years. A lifelong lover of motorcycles and rock and roll music, James could be seen blasting his music and riding with the wind around town. James was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He and his sister Teresa Johnson loved to ride, they would go and get many bikes blessed. He was a beloved Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather.
James is preceded in death by Grandparents, James W. and Cora Myers, his mother Evelyn (Ruth) Johnson, Father James W. Myers Jr., and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom he held close to his heart.
James is survived by his oldest daughter Tammy Lou Limones, and son in law Ray Limones of Sweetwater, TX. Daughter Mistirose Myers, and Aaron Hall of Silt, CO. Sister Teresa Johnson, and husband Walt Leroy of Estancia, New Mexico. Oldest Grandson Stetson Joe Lance Flores and wife Reanna of Sweetwater, TX. Alexus and Cyrus Myers of Silt, CO. Asia Lynn, Desirey Lynn, and Ezequiel Limones of Sweetwater, TX. Great- Grandchildren A 'Don, Izabella, and Seraphina Flores of Sweetwater, TX.
