Burl "Shorty" Lee
Burl Boyd "Shorty" Lee, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his home. He was born September 9, 1941, in Paris, to the late Robert Earl Lee and Maida Cleo Rogers Lee. He was 79 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Vaughan Lee; a son, Stephen Boyd Lee; and a brother, Loyd Lee.
Shorty was a retired area supervisor for Air Compression at Dresser-Rand, Inc. He also worked a few years for Pepsi-Cola. Shorty was a 1960 graduate of Paris High School, and member of Paris First Freewill Baptist Church. One of his biggest joys in life was just spending time on the mountain with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 19th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Bro. Ricky White officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Schluterman and husband Gerald of Subiaco; his daughter-in-law, Connie Lee of Charleston; a sister, Nina Lee Zeiler of Ozark; two grandsons, Austin Schluterman and Mason Schluterman, both of Subiaco; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Austin Schluterman, Mason Schluterman, Tara Ezell, Stephanie Ceniceros, Derek Spicer, Tim Vaughan, Greg Schluterman, and Dennis Schluterman.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
