Other assignments included Berlin, Vietnam, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Monmouth, and Ft. Huachuca. After 35 years of military service, Edward retired as a Colonel from the USAR. He also served 32 years of Federal service, retiring as a GS-12 from MCAS Cherry Point.

I remember then Maj Bellis when he was our TAC. It was unusual to find a Signal Corps officer in this position. He was a credit to the Corps and the Army. I was saddened to hear of his passing. "May it be said well done,,,"
