George Snapp Obituary

George Snapp
George Lawrence Snapp, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at a local nursing home. He was a 30-year retired chief master sergeant for the U.S. Air Force and served in both Vietnam and Korea. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Kyle, Texas. His favorite pastime was gunsmithing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George L. and Lois (Dickens) Snapp; and his wife, Shirley Ann Snapp.
Memorial service will be held graveside at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Simpson of Galveston, Texas; three sons, Randy Snapp of Van Buren, Dennis Snapp of Yukon, Okla., and Richard Snapp of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Dorothy Snapp of San Antonio; one brother, Jim Snapp of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
