James Simpson
James Carrell Simpson, 86, of Huntington, Arkansas passed away on July 15, 2021 at his home. He was born October 25, 1934 in Abbott, Arkansas to the late James Fred and Loeva Evelyn (Harp) Simpson. James was a retired United States Air Force Veteran where he served for 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his most prized possessions were simply his family.

James is survived by his wife of almost 69 years Nellie Simpson, two daughters; Sharron Leister and husband Lloyd of Abbott, Arkansas, Pam Fridell of Van Buren, Arkansas, seven grandchildren; Lucy, Colleen, Brian, Christina, Darwin, Danielle, James, bonus grandchildren; Katelyn, J.B, Kimberly, five great-grandchildren; Josh, Sarah, AnnaGrace, Megan, September, bonus great-grandchildren; Bella, Bear, Boone, Matt, Weston, Ryan, and by one brother Victor Denton Simpson and wife Ann of Bella Vista, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Loeva Simpson, one son, Russell Wayne Simpson, daughter, Carol Ann Simpson and son-in-law Ben Fridell.

Visitation will be Saturday July 17, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 17, 2021 at Martin Funeral Home in Mansfield. A private burial will take place after the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2 under the direction of Martin Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be James Fry, Whit Overton, Josh Hattabaugh, Ryan Gillis, Nathan Scantling, and Mark Gillis.
