Judy Ann Hutchinson Kientz
Judy Ann Hutchinson Kientz, 67, of Fort Smith passed from this life April 2, 2021 in Fort Smith. She was born January 16, 1954 in Albany, Georgia to Warner and Patricia Durshimer Hutchinson. Judy attended Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas where she earned a degree as a registered nurse. She then worked as an RN at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas where she met her future husband DR. John L. B. Kientz Jr. M.D. They were married in Temple, Texas in 1976 and moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1977 where she continued to work as an RN at Sparks Hospital and then taught nursing at Westark College. Judy first retired in 1979 to raise her children but always maintained her RN license. For the next two decades Judy raised 3 children and kept a warm and loving home. After she returned to nursing, because as anyone who knew her could tell you, caring for others fulfilled her life. She retired only after complications with her health prevented her from continuing to practice nursing. She then focused on spending as much time with her family and grandchildren as possible. Judy was a member of Fort Smith's First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing tennis, good cups of tea and spoiling her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband Dr. John Kientz; two sons John L. B. Kientz III "Jay" of Rogers, Arkansas and Jason W. Kientz of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her daughter Joy Kientz Armstrong of Fort Smith; two sisters Trudy Ogdon of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Cathy Jo Cutright of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her brother Keith Hutchinson of Longview, Texas; and three granddaughters Sydney and Addelyn Armstrong and Lucy Kientz, as well as a host of nieces , nephews and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

To Dr. Kientz and Family, this saddens me about the loss of Judy--someone whom I admired and became friends with many years ago. She will be dearly missed, for she was truly a kind, caring, and considerate person for as long as I knew her. My Heartfelt Condolences to the Family--and may GOD Bless You, and give you Comfort, Strength, and Peace.
