Sister Mary Jolitta Konecny, RSM
Sister Mary Jolitta Konecny, RSM died Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. A Sister of Mercy for 65 years, she was 84 years old.
Sister Jolitta primarily ministered in secondary education and as a director of pastoral services in the healthcare, most recently as chaplain at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In addition, she was known as a dedicated historian of the Mercy community and ministry life of the Sisters of Mercy, especially throughout her native state of Arkansas. She was born a farm girl, who always cherished creation, especially the gift of the land. She loved anything outdoors, as well as sports, archives and jigsaw puzzles.
Her ring motto was "All For Thee."
Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Holy Souls Church in Little Rock, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock. To sign the online guestbook, click "Add A Memory" at: www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com
