Mary Webb
Mary L. Webb, age 78, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Quality Health. She was born March 1, 1940, in Fort Smith to the late Virgil and Pauline (Myers) Goff. Mary was a professional military spouse for 28 years, creating homes for her family in five states and three countries. After retiring from military life in 1985, Mary transitioned to the role of preacher's wife, creating a home for her cherished church family until she moved to Fernandina Beach in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, the Rev. Howard L. Webb.
She leaves behind her three sons, Mark Webb of Lawton, Okla., Mike Webb of Bella Vista and Eric Webb of Fernandina Beach; her three grandchildren, Briley, Paul and Brennan Webb; her brother, Charles Goff of The Woodlands, Texas; and her beloved sister, Patsy (Goff) Fant of Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, with Chaplain Jackie Hayes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at The U.S. National Cemetery in Jacksonville following the service.
