Roger Cranford
Roger Wayne Cranford, 76, of Springfield, MO passed away on August 1, 2021 at his home. Roger was born July 29, 1945 in Mulberry to A.B. and Syble Cranford. He was a 1963 graduate of Alma High School. Roger had been an Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) operator for 61 years with FCC call K5ALU and was one of the fastest Morse Code operators. Roger also attended Arkansas Technical College. Roger has been an amazing and successful entrepreneur for 50 years. He has owned various manufacturing companies in the US and Mexico.
Roger was united in marriage to Linda Campbell, who preceded him in death March 28, 2020. After retiring, Roger and Linda set out to see the country in their RV and enjoyed many exciting adventures traveling to all 50 states and Canada.
Preceded in death are parents, A.B. and Syble Cranford; sister, Cecile Dyer; brother, Duane Cranford and ex-spouse and mother to both sons, Katherine Cranford.
Roger loved spending time with his family and many friends. We celebrate his life and will cherish the wonderful memories that were created.
Survivors include two sons, Shawn Cranford and wife Angie and Jeremy Cranford and wife Tracy; one stepdaughter, Brittany DeVoe and husband Jason; two grandsons, Landon Cranford and Alexander Cranford; one step grandson, Gabe Keefover and wife Samantha; two step granddaughters, Riley and Ella Grace DeVoe; one great granddaughter, Dorothy Keefover; two nieces, Kay Newman and Terri Young; one nephew, Steve Cranford; two mini Australian Shepherd dogs, Sammy and Harley and a host of friends too many to name all.
Graveside memorial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
