Kevin Russell Akers, age 46, of Austinville, passed away on July 20, 2020. Kevin was born on May 28, 1974, in Wytheville, Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Akers; a brother, Chris Akers; and sister, JJ Akers.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Pugh Akers of Austinville; his son, Micah Akers of Austinville; his mother and stepfather, Verna and James Lee of Irmo, S.C.; brother, Robert and Becky Akers of Wytheville; sister, Angie Mathews Montgomery of Spokane, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
Per Kevin's wishes there will be no services. Due to COVID 169 safety concerns an Irish wake will be held at a later date.
Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, is serving the Akers family.
