August 4, 1946 - November 30, 2025
Lynne Bryant Umberger Perry passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at Holston Health and Rehabilitation in Wytheville, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Perry and her parents Maude and Willie Umberger.
She is survived by her brother Jim Umberger and his husband Gonzalo Vega of Buenos Aires, Argentina; and her caregivers Kay Horney and Darlene Adams of Wytheville, along with the caring staff at Gentiva Hospice.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday December 3, 2025, at St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Misti McCreary. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. to the service time at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com

Well Pop's you were always the strongest man your boyz ever knew and even on the day of your death you still continued to stay strong and fight your hardest. That didn't go unnoticed. You wanted to be surrounded by your dearest loved ones in that moment and Dad you were, I know you heard us laugh and share memories all day long. Your strength, determination, loyal values and work ethic along with your love for music, movies, anime and a good bargain will continue to guide you boyz in this life without you. You never took a day off much less a vacation so now we are finding comfort that you are finally able to be free of all the earthly weights that held you down.

Vincent loved his papa so much and will always love him no matter where he's at. He will always be a papa's boy And he was the best dad I ever could had asked for, I'm glad I will always have him in our memories to cherish for a lifetime and to keep sharing memories to always keep him alive in us.
