Marilyn Fern Reed, age 69, passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021, at the Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Va.

She was born in Centralia, Ill., to the late John Nelson and Pearl Fern Cummins Boles. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marla Bierman; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Nelson.

She spent many years working as a florist and enjoyed her crafts.

Survivors include her children, Jimmy Louis Kalert and Pearl Lynette Kalert; brothers, Johnny Nelson and Frankie Nelson; grandchildren, Kristen Kalert, Macey Kalert, Jacob Rowe, and Destinea Rowe; great-grandchildren, Adrin Harley, Aniah Rowe, Logan Rowe; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Francis Marion Manor for all the love and care given to Ms. Reed during her stay there.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, with Pastor Paul Shallenburg officiating. Services will be live-streamed via Bradley's Funeral Home Facebook. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the Reed family.

My heart is deeply broken as I was with you as you gained your beautiful angel wings. I know you are still with so many of us at FMM as we struggle to make it through the days without you in person. But GOD definitely go a wonderful lady to walk with and watch over all of us. I love you and miss you dearly sweet lady. When a CUBS game comes on you will thought about .
