Nancy Ruth George Cregger

November 4, 1942 - March 9, 2024

Nancy Ruth (George) Cregger passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024. Nancy was born on November 4, 1942, in Kresgeville, PA to Robert and Ruth George. Nancy graduated from Polk High School and went on to work at Good Shepherd Home, Allentown, PA, and Pleasant Valley Manor, Snydersville, PA for many years. Nancy was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Barry Wayne Cregger, to whom she was happily married for forty-nine years. An avid reader, Nancy was known to finish a murder mystery novel in a few days' time. In addition, Nancy loved to knit and crochet. On holidays, Nancy cooked and entertained while hosting family at her home. In the summer, Nancy and Barry attended the West End Fair in Gilbert, PA with family, where they enjoyed country music performances, watching fireworks, and chatting with friends. Later in life, Nancy and Barry moved to Rural Retreat, VA, where they cared for pet dogs and cats and were in the company of Barry's family. Nancy was warm, peaceful, and caring. She will be greatly missed. Nancy is survived by her son, Garry Wayne Cregger, and his companion Tammy L. Mansfield as well as Bonnie Mfarej (sister), Christopher Mack (nephew), Michael Mfarej (nephew), Mihaela Mfarej (niece), and W. L. Cornett (brother-in-law).

Memorial services will be held at a future date in Wytheville, VA. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the family.
