Patsy Ann Hackler King

Patsy Ann Hackler King, 80, passed away on July 7, 2021. Patsy was born in Speedwell, Va., the daughter of the late Annie Olinger Hackler and James Howard Hackler.

She was the retired Co-Owner of East Coast Homes of Va. Patsy was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, a King's Circle Member and an usher. She was also an Auxiliary member of the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad. Patsy was predeceased by her sister, Louise Melton.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stanley Orban King; daughter, Deborah "Deb" Gayle-Glenn (Kevin); son, Howard "Corky" King (Stephanie); grandchildren, Shannon Horne (Nick), Christopher King, Kendall Speight (Steven), Kayce King, and John King; great-grandchildren, Emma King and Parker Speight; brother, Bobby Hackler (Jean); special nephew, Robert "Bob" Melton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service were held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23434, with the Rev. Rob Slingluff officiating. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11 a.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
