Wilda Sue Gallimore, age 87, of Wytheville, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. She was born April 20, 1938, to the late James H. and Cecil Groseclose Childress and preceded in death by her husband, Orville Gallimore; sisters, Mildred Ellen "Peggy" Fisher, Mary Maxine Stocki, Sandra Jean Goodson; one niece, Darlene Jackson; nephew, Mark Fisher.
Wilda is survived by her children, Stephen and Linda Crockett, Jamie BeCraft; grandchildren, Lorrie Graybeal, Stephen "Stevie" Crockett, III, Christopher "Chris" Crockett and Victoria "Vikki" Redman, Christina Crockett, Joshua "Josh" and Britney Crockett; great-grandchildren, Lucas Lara, Andrew "Drew" Lara, Dakota Crockett, Dylan Crockett, Isabella Crockett, Nickolas "Nick" Crockett, Tyler Crockett, Katie Pickle, Katelyn Pickle, Kaylee Pickle, Cody Pickle, Clay Pickle, Alyssa Carter, Keelin Crockett, Aubrey Crockett, Devan Crockett, Gannon Crockett, Morgan Crockett. Two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Reverend Doug Stuart, with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 p.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com.
