Anthony J. Di Fulvio, 94, of Jamesville, NY, passed away Sunday at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse and was a US Army veteran serving from 1942-1945. Anthony started as a self-employed contractor. He worked in sales at Interstate Wholesale and Onondaga Supply. In retirement, Anthony was the owner and operator of Valley Carpet and Mill Ends. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Elks Lodge. Anthony enjoyed hunting and spending time at his camp. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Di Fulvio in 1989; his brother Angelo; sisters, Mary and Edith, and his longtime companion, Toni Yander.
Anthony is survived by two sons, Vincent V. (JoAnn) Di Fulvio of Baldwinsville and Anthony J. (Donna) Di Fulvio of Marietta, NY; two daughters, Kathleen A. (Skip) Hart of Fairmount and Toni Marie (Jay) Beehner of Farmington, NY; five grandchildren, Jason, John, Marisa, Theresa, and Dominic; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Ava; his sister, Amy Mura of Syracuse, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 AM on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anthony's life at 9:30 AM in Holy Cross Church, DeWitt. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Medical Center, 8th Floor, Hospice Unit, 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
