Mike and Diane, I want to express my sincere sympathy at the loss of your mom. You were lucky to have had her in your lives for 86 years - it takes a long time to reconcile with something like this. I didn't have my mother in my life for this many years and I still miss her every day. Hope you two are doing okay. Lois Shaffer-Pierce

I never had the opportunity to meet Jeanne, but I know what a part she played in the life of Midge and my dear son-in-law Shawn. She would want you to dance and pass along her joy to everyone you know.

Dear Michael, Laurie and Paul,

I'm so sorry to learn of your moms passing. Her laughter and singing is what I will remember.

This past summer my grandson and I had a wonderful visit with her. She told Michael all about her great grandchildren. She told him about how she loved painting rocks. She went in the house and brought one out for him to see and see also brought him a little car. He proceeded to find her a rock. "This is for you Ms. Jean," and of course she was just thrilled. It was a very sweet exchange.

No matter how old they are, or how old we get, losing them is never easy. My thought and prayers go out to all of you.

I had the privilege of meeting Jeanne in the last few weeks of her life when she came to 4N. I instantly felt a connection to her and knew, without a doubt, that she had been a true leader and a mentor for women of all ages. Even in her illness, her passion for life and her sense of humor came through. I consider it a gift to have been able to care for her in the last days of her life. She was a beauty! My deepest sympathy goes to her family. Debb
