William R. Penta, Sr. November 28, 2021 William R. Penta, Sr., 85, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 28, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born in Albany July 01, 1936, son of the late James Penta, and Eva Andrews Penta. He retired from Nestles in Fulton as a mechanic. He was raised on a dairy farm and enjoyed his hobby farm raising his own crops and cattle. William was a member of the Westbury Community Church. He is predeceased by two wives, Helen Richey Penta, and Elizabeth Caldarera Penta, siblings, John James Penta, Miriam (Rocco) Richichi, Mary (August) Jaeger, daughter, Wanda Rose Moore, and grandson, Mitchell Pitts. Survived by his children, Kathleen Stebbins of Wolcott, Susan Nurse of Wolcott, William R. Penta Jr., of Wolcott, James (Rachel Knepp) Penta of Wolcott, Sandi (Allan) Brumit of Westmoreland TN., Barbara (Michael) Lyons of Wolcott, Kenneth (Debra) Caldarera of Chesapeake, VA, Karen (Robert) Brundidge of Elberton GA., Kerry (Bill) Pitts of Sterling, and Kimberly (Randy) Jackson of Sodus, siblings Jean (Emery) Jaeger of Dansville, 42 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, as well as special friend, Stephen Wesolowski. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 02, 11:00-1:00 and 3:00-5:00, with a funeral service at 5:00 at the Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, Red Creek. There will be a post-funeral reception at the North Wolcott Christian Church, 12764 Church St., Wolcott, NY. Burial will take place at an undetermined date at North Wolcott Cemetery in the spring.
