I was so saddened to read of the passing of Mrs. Alderman. She was one of my favorite teachers ever! Our 4th grade classroom was always filled with fun, activity, creative instruction and encouragement to explore, achieve, and learn. She loved her students and loved teaching. After lunch, we would go back to our classroom a little early, and she would let us play records and dance to 60s music, and she joined in doing the jerk, the twist, or the monkey! I know her family will miss her so, she was such a special, loving lady!

Although we've lived in separate cities for over the 60 years I've known Carolyn, we shared the common bonds of graduating for FSU a year apart; a lifeiong love of teaching children; and the family name (from marriages to brothers)
. She was a lady in the truest sense of the word--always opening her home to others and sharing her warm hospitality to family and many friends.
Carolynne--take comfort in knowing you now have your very own guardian angel watching over you as, you, her precious grandaughter, continue to grow into a lovely young lady,
Nan and Dess--May the sorrow of her passing be soon replaced by your childhood memories of happy and joyful times together as you celebrate a life lovingly shared and well-lived.
Our hearts go out to each of you and Randy in loving sympathy and fond remembrance.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, and for it to happen right before not only Christmas, but Nan's and Dess' birthdays was so sad. The memory of her wonderful Peanuts' Christmas display she treated us to every December will forever be in my heart.
