Christine O'Neal NeSmith

Christine O' Neal NeSmith, 87, of Thomasville, GA passed away January 21, 2016 at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL. Mrs. NeSmith was born October 31, 1928 to Rev. Elmer E. and Golda Roberson O'Neal in Jesup, GA. She attended school in Jesup until her father became the pastor of Campbell Street Church of God in Thomasville. She met her husband, Randall Lee NeSmith at the church and they were married January 12, 1946. They were married for 53 years before his death in 1999. Mrs.NeSmith was a homemaker and was a member of Northwoods Church of God, Thomasville Travelers Club and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. She is survived by a daughter Janitta NeSmith Lindsey (Chuck) of Crawfordville, FL and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include, a brother Lawrence O'Neal, Jacksonville, FL, sister Evelyn O'Neal Rollins, Marion, SC and Wedena O'Neal Oliver, Harleton, TX. Mrs. NeSmith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 daughters, Reathea and Elaine, brother, Dewey O'Neal, sisters Adeline O'Neal Chastain and Bernese O'Neal Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. A private graveside service was on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
