Sheri and family,

I was so sad to hear about Cliff, and was deeply touched by all the kind words said about him at his funeral. When my daughter Erin called and told me about Cliff's passing, she reminded me that Cliff and I were the "camping dads" when she and Stefani were in scouts together. I have fond memories of being at my children's activities and seeing you and Cliff there supporting your children, as well.

I had seen Cliff at Publix just a few days before he passed. We stood and talked for several minutes, each updating the other about what our families were up to...two proud dads bragging about our kids!

I wish you the best.

Take care

I have known Clifford since we were eight years old. I am here to testify to what others who knew him understood so well: Clifford was a 'mensch,' a person of integrity and fine character who always extended himself to those with little advantage in life. He was a Natural Man ! Cliffy, Cliffordis my friend, I will keep you close to my heart for the rest of my days. Thank you for your kindness and love, and making the world a better place for me and many others.

Sherri, Becky, Stephani and Jordon:

Cliff was always such a part of my daughter's life as she and Becky spent time together. In more recent years, he and I seemed to frequent the grocery simultaneously. He was always ready to chat, asking about my Carla and always sharing news about his family. He was so proud of each of you and loved all of you deeply.

May God continue to bless each of you and give you peace,

Belinda

I spoke to Cliff as it turned out, just a few days before he died. He was telling me how wonderful his children were doing and seemed so well and happy. We had worked together off and on for many years at Corrections in both good times and bad. My prayers are with you at this time.

We were young together in Scouts, although Cliff was our elder. But our youth lives on, in the burning camp fire, the circling stars over our tents, and the bad pancakes for breakfast. Parade rest.

Prayers and respect to all the Scott family far and wide.

I worked alongside Cliff for several years and always enjoyed chatting with him...His unique humor, passion for his beliefs, and his view of the world made him someone to be reckoned with, for sure. His strong presence will be missed. We are sending prayers for him and his family at this difficult time.

I haven't seen Cliff in over 30 years, but I remember his wisodm, humor and calm demeanor like it was yesterday. As those are traits of all the Scott boys, I suspect they are the qualities that Cliff's parents instilled and inspired in their sons.

It's sobering to be reminded of the precious gift each day is. And while my thoughts and prayers are with Cliff's spirit and his family who stay behind - I cannot help but offer up a silent thanks to Cliff for the gift he gave me today, even after all these years. I will spend a few more minutes with my family and dogs tonight to make sure I have wrung the most from this day that God has given me.

God Bless you, Cliff. Blessings to Sheri and the kids, as well. I hope to one day meet you to see what part of his nature Cliff passed on to each of you.
