Mom,
I miss you so much! So many things have happened since you left us. Dodge got his back surgery, and they fix his scoliosis to 100%. I wanted you to be here to see that so bad but god had other plans. I remember you telling me so often that when you were gone it would hurt like crazy, you were right as always! I miss you fiercely and I know that in heaven you´re not suffering anymore. Everyone that knew you understood that life without your husband was going to difficult for you and that´s a understatement. I´m so relieved to know that where ever you are my father is right beside you. I love you forever.

My Aunt Darlene was one of the most adventurous, self-less, carefree, and fun-loving people I've ever known. When I was young, I wanted to be just like her! I admired her ability to always see the best in everyone and to live life to the fullest. She rescued me from my own family trauma and moved me back to my hometown of Tallahassee. My Uncle Larry and Aunt Darlene became my guardians and brought me into their home (with my cousin Kim) without a second thought. I became part of their family....without their intervention, I would have remained a "Ward of the State".....a child without a home. A home is not the physical place you sleep at night, it's the people in it. The people who stand up for you and protect you. THEY were my "home". There is nothing I can write HERE that can express the enormous impact she and her family have had on my life. I know she is still with us in spirit and I will continue to seek out the inner "Darlene" inside of me. Live life seeking fun, laughter, and love.....and always keep family close by. So long for now Aunt Darlene. I will love you always.

Your Niece,
Cathy

I was only around you a few times but what time I got to spend with you was wonderful. You were always so cheerful and full of life. You made your family number one and I totally respect that. Your now with the love of your life and I know that you are pain free and happy. We will all be together again. I know your family is hurting but God will heal their hearts.
