Hey Dean,
When we met at the FD years ago, I knew right away you were a great guy. I'm glad for our good times we had in Pensacola...and then when I moved to Tallahassee I found you there as well and the good times picked up where they left off. I look forward to the next time me, you and Chinch can tee it up at Hilaman "Heaven" Golf Course...I'm sure you're still hitting them long and straight right now. Miss you.

Dean was a good friend, quick with a smile and always willing to assist those who were in need. We had some great times at Bellview Middle and EHS......from the pranks we would pull on those "parking" at the end of his street, the tackle basketball games in his backyard to all the fun we had in Coach Harrellson's guys only biology class. Memories that always bring a smile to my face....thanks to Dean. My heart goes out to the Boatner family for your loss. Dean will surely be missed by all, but I have no doubt he is already up in Heaven grinning ear to ear thinking of some prank he can pull and that makes me smile....just like old times my friend.

Bubba
Your mother and my mother are sisters which alway made me proud that I can call you cousin. We always think that someday we would see each other but time and everyday living happens.
It was so sad that I didn' t get to know you better but alway asked about you when I would see your mom. Your soul is free and perhaps if God is willing we will see each other in haven. I'll know you because you will be the one with the biggest smile and standing with our grandparents and my mom. Love you cousin

I am going to miss the smiling face of Dean Boatner. I have only known him for about 3 years but he was always a good friend and a very compassionate caring person. I had the pleasure to meet Summer his sweet daughter and had lunch with them. You could see the love they had. (Even though they were both laughing at me when I left) Dean had one on those magnetic personalities because he was always so upbeat and wanted to be happy and live life. I am going to miss him. I am happy he is not suffering anymore and that he is a christian so I know he is still with us in spirit as an Angel of the lord. To Summer and the Boatner family your in my thoughts and prayers and know that Dean is close by your side always.

To the Boatner family - I only had the pleasure of knowing Dean for a couple of years. I have many great and funny memories of him. He would speak of his children, brother and Mother often and it was obvious how much he loved each of you. Back a few years ago when we had the floods and the electricity was out for several days, I remember him talking to me on the phone to keep me company and offered to help me if I needed amything. That was the kind of person that Dean was....a total cut up, but would lend a helping hand at the drop of a hat!!! I am sure that losing him is very difficult, but hold his memories close to your hearts and he will always be with you. He will be greatly missed by many!!! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days ahead.
Love, Leigh Reams McAuley

GOD TOOK HIM TO HIS LOVING HOME
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered "Come with me."
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain, God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain. I love you, Dean. R.I.P.

Bubba
I can not say Goodbye , But I can say I will see you one day, God knew from the beginning when our lives were planned that you would be my brother, I was blessed more than any words can say, you were my comfort and I will miss that more than ever, I know you can hear me and I know you are watching over me, You knew me better than any one in this world, You knew when I needed a talking too and you knew when I needed a arm to cry in. I will celebrate your life with the angels above and I know your journey to peace was a loving one with our love ones to meet you. I know that one day you will be there to welcome me, I will always feel you with me andI know that when I feel uneasy I can talk to you and you will comfort me, I know that you are not suffering any more, and now at peace and smiling down on me. I will always love you , You took a part of me with you when you went home to be with the Lord. I wait for the cool breeze to touch my face to let me know you still are looking after your little sister. You were my Hero and always will be, I was giving the most wonderful gift in life from the angels above the day you were born,, Bubba I Love You and I know in my heart and being that I will be with you again Your sister Edna

Hey Daddy! It's me! The one you always called your baby girl!! I can't even begin to express my feelings and probably never really will, that you are gone!!!!! I know you feel SOOOO, SOOO MUCH BETTER now! Thats what matters! I'm still hanging around the house waiting for you to call out my name, wanting or needing me to do something for you...... Its just not even surreal to me! But, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, YOU will ALWAYS be right there with me and will be the BEST Guardian Angel of mine! I will always remember all the great times we've shared together, there's plenty of them! Just know that I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS COULD EVER MEAN, SPEAK OR SAY! I'm sure I'll be back to write more! R.I.P.-- "SEE ya!!!"
