Gilbert Harrell Obituary

Gilbert Dewey Harrell Gilbert Dewey Harrell, 54, a painter for the Leon County School Board, died Saturday, February 7, 2009. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday, Feb. 14, at St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church (655 W. Georgia St.), with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. He was a member of St. Mary P.B. Church. He also served in the United States Army. Survivors include a son, Travis Shavontieze Sims, a grandson, Tre'Quan Javontieze Sims both of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Tommie Lee Cooper of Tallahassee; a sister, Patricia H. Chukes of Tallahassee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
