James Sampson Obituary
Tallahassee, FL - James Sampson, 59, passed in Tallahassee on Friday, March 23, 2018. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Concord AME Church, with burial in Tallahassee National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950. Born in Thomasville, GA, James was a 1976 graduate of Rickards High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service, FAMU and FSU. Survivors include his children: Gabrielle Jones and Craig Williams; brother, Matthew (Tamika) Sampson; sisters, Gloria Graham, Barbara Williams and DeAnjerla Sampson; former wife and friend, Debra Sampson; devoted friend and brother-in-law, Clarence Turner; two grandchildren;and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John Henry and Julia Mae Johnson Sampson.
