James Stockwell Obituary

James F. Stockwell James F. Stockwell, 89, died Wednessday, Dec . 13, 2006. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST today at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel (850-893-4177), with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Mr. Stockwell was born in Lore City, Ohio, and had lived in Tallahassee for 22 years. He graduated from Marietta College, where he played baseball and basketball and was a football quarterback. Prior to his retirement, he was a manager in the trucking industry and a high-school teacher and basketball and football coach. He is survived by a son, Dr. James W. Stockwell of Tallahassee; two granddaughters, Mindy Londot (and husband John) and Sarah Stockwell, both of Tallahassee; two grandsons, Christopher Stockwell (and wife Saskia) of Tallahassee and Timothy Stockwell (and wife Andrea) of Ocala; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Stockwell, Mollie Londot and William Londot; and a sister, Martha Stockwell of Largo. Mr. Stockwell was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Stockwell.
