Deepest sympathy to Family & Friends of a true gentleman. I became acquainted with Mr. Burns while attempting to make repairs to the grave of my Confederate

soldier Great-great Grandfather who is

buried in Carlton Cemetery. Not only did Mr. Burns take care of this, he accepted no money as he said he always honored military graves. Later, we invited him to be

a special guest at the Hendry Reunion in which we celebrated our

Ancestor, Wm. Hamilton Sharpe Hendry. We were so privileged to have him be with us that day. How

appropriate this Memorial Day! God

bless all of you in your loss.

Ms. Dot, Barbara and Family.

You certainly are in our thoughts and prayers during this great loss and time of sorrow. The absence of Mr. Joe in the Perry/Taylor County business community will certainly leave quite a void. However, his legacey shall forever be present. I am honored to have had such a great friend.
