Its so hard for my mind to accept you are no longer with us.I hope you are watching over all of us friend,I know without a doubt the struggles I go through now would be easier if you were here.They always were when I had you to call on.I miss you so much.You had so much to be here for.A loving family a beautiful daughter and friends that adored you.I was always told not to question God but I find myself doing so. To Joan and Jennifer, John's favorite girls, I am sincerly sorry for your loss. He always talked about you two like queens. Even when John and I would play the dozens, I was only allowed two momma and sister jokes. It was a major shock to learn about my brother, John's death. I have spent the last two years trying to locate him.I am really upset that I didn't get one more chance to tell him that I love him. John meant alot to me and my friend. He was like an older brother, eventhough, I am older than him. John portected me and my friend like nobody's business.I often think about what we called family night in college, going to church,watching plays, watching movies, watching him dance, going out to eat. John played a big part of my life. I often talk about him in every conversation, every slang word that comes out of my mouth belongs to him. I can't express the hurt I feel with the loss of my brother. I am really going to miss him. To those that didn't really know him, he was a great man and I am really sorry that his daughter won't get the chance to really know her father. People, please tell her what a wonderful person he was because, if I ever meet her I will sure let her know that I loved and always will love her father.

J Wimb, Big John, friend. Known to many people by different names but always the same sweet caring man. We've known each other for close to a decade. You and I spent alot of quality time together and those were the best times, you truly have a heart of gold! I miss our long conversations and watching you play computer games, you always liked the Sims and I could never figure out why. My most treasured memory of our time together is when I was on my way to Jacksonville and you asked to ride along. We were so caught up in talking we missed our turn and ended up in Georgia. We stopped at the gas station just to get something that said Georgia. Those were the good days, any day with you was a good day. You would just listen and we could just hang out and have fun doing nothing. I didn't ever catch up with you in Tallahassee, but I will see you again. I send wishes of brighter days to your family. I also thank them for giving us such a treasured gift in John, his friendship was amazing, he was truly one of a kind.

You have been heavily on my mind since I learned God saw it was time for you to join him in his kingdon.I have been thinking of our many conversations.One that sticks out in my mind and heart is when you asked me if you left this world would I miss you and would I say something at your funeral.I looked at you crazy and did not answer. I thought you were talking crazy. I had no idea that day would be now.To answer the question, yes I miss you. I met Big John my first day at Godby, Homecoming week of our senior year. He made me feel so warm and welcome and we instantly became friends. We lost touch over the years but I never forgot the memories.

I share my expressions of grief and sorrow that a loved one is laid to rest, yet the relief that a loved one will no longer suffer the pains of life that he may have went thru in his final days.
I remember our days in middle and high school walking home together with my brothers and I. Those are the only visions I hold and cherish of great person who had a chill personality and a good heart.
I will always remember "Big John" as a person who had alot to live for and I am pretty sure that he took advantage to appreciate everyday that he had to be here.

I have known Jennifer for about 6yrs now and during those years I have had the pleasure of meeting her brother John a few times. All I can ever talk about is how much they look alike, same smile and everthing. When I heard he was sick I just knew he'd get better and when I heard he past it was so heavy on my heart. He was a great man who will be deeply missed by even those who only knew him on occasion.
My Aunt pasted recently and everytime I am down or I miss her I know I can still speak to her. Yesterday I asked her to watch over John and to meet him at the gate to show him the way. It's been a while since I seen ya, but we go all the way back to Godby High or A.P.G. as you would say. Even though we lost touch we have always been partners, From the days we spent on the football field to nights we hung out around Tallahassee riding in the Catalina.
We had some good times which left us with some even better memories.

I met John and Jennifer when they were kids through my friendship with Shanna and Sherman. I was in awe of how mannerable and respectful they were. I knew of John, from Godby High School. In that short time his presence was one that was unforgettable in every way. My prayers are with you in this time of rejoicing. Rejoicing I say, because John has accomplished what most of us Christians wish to do, seek the Kingdom of Heaven to be with King Jesus. Until we meet him again. John, I have such fond memories of you. From Griffin Middle to Godby High you were a friend to laugh and chill with. I will cherish those moments and hold them close to my heart. It's too hard for me to say good-bye...so for now I'll say see you later. I love ya Big John and Rest In Peace.
