Kristopher Gibson Obituary
Kristopher D'Angelo Gibson, 25, a BMW Client Acquisitions employee at Capital Eurocars of Tallahassee, FL, transitioned Saturday, February 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Sat., Feb. 8 at New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church (1401 Old Bainbridge Rd.) with burial at Southside Cemetery. A viewing and prayer service will be Friday, February 7, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church (1405 Melvin St.).
Kristopher was a native of Tallahassee. He received his fundamental education from Leon County public schools (Lincoln High, Belle Vue, Leonard Wesson). He also attended FAMU DRS and Bethel Christian Academy. He is a graduate of the Class of 2011 from Florida A&M University. Kristopher was involved with many community organizations including Jack & Jill of America Inc.-Tallahassee, Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, Lincoln High NJROTC, Tallahassee Boys Choir, Boy Scouts of America, Assistant Coordinator for FAMU DRS Royal Court and President of FAMU Student NAA.
Survivors include his parents, George and Blondenia Gibson; one brother, Rev. Dr. Kyle Gibson (Tamara); three aunts, Charmaine Gibson, Karena Bracey-Tarrant (Kenneth) and Cheryl Pompey-Howard (Kenneth) and several god parents, cousins and friends. Kristopher was preceded in death by one brother, Kish Kishione' Barrington.

With heartfelt memories of Kris. I met Kris approximately a month ago at the airport through Capital Euro Cars. We discussed him wanting to expand his business network, so I invited him to attend the Airport's Business Opportunities Outreach workshop last Wednesday, and what a wonderful surprise to lookup and see Kris come through the door. He was such a wonderful young man with such a warm smile and pleasant demeanor. I am truly thankful to God that I had the opportunity to be blessed by his presence. It is written that people come into our lives for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime. Kris' smile and kindness will forever be in my heart. Dear God, thank you for a Lifetime moment with Kris. To the Gibson Family, know this, God has another angel.

It truly honors me to be one of (if not the) first to sign your guest book. I don't have to say much because we spoke often enough for you to know how much our friendship meant, and to know that I am deeply saddened. You helped me transition from a dumb college kid, to a mature adult; even helping me come to the conclusion of what I want to do for the rest of my life. We kept in contact almost up until your last breath, and I will make sure that for as long as I am on this earth your legacy which we have personally discussed, shines through me. My grandmother Mary K. Owens and my Aunt Seneca Lindsay will both miss you as well, and as a fellow Tallahassee family we want to extend our condolences to your family.
