Major Morgan was a wonderful person,GREAT TO EVERYONE
May 21, 2019
Major Morgan was a great man. I had dealings with him and remember what a genuine person he was. I was installing something in his house and I asked him why he did not move. His answer was that the neighborhood folks were his folks and that he wanted to be with his own people. I always respected that in him

Dear Morgan Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of James Jimmy' Morgan.
My name is Yvonne LaDoris Edwards Robinson , native of Tallahassee, Miami, And now Atlanta, Ga.
I grew up with Jimmy, and hDorothy Mae. We were all great childhood friends. I lived across the street, Keith Street, from their Grandmother Mrs Molly Thomas, Granddad, Mr. Tom and their Dad Mr. Morgan. That house on Keith St burned down and we rebuilt another home over on Saxon St and I lived there until I married in 1957 and moved with my husband who was stationed at Homestead AFB Fl. Mrs. Morgan I think we might have met, My family and I were traveling and we stopped at the house next to St John Baptist church looking for Shelley Ann and Jimmy and Jimmy and you lived just right across the street and you'll came ut to greet us, please accept my family deepest condolences and prayers for you and your families lost. I would loved to have called but I could not find a phone number. When you'll have settled down a bit we would love to hear from you, Shelly Ann or Bobby. Shelly Ann And Bobby will not know me because they were babies when I moved from Tallahassee.
All of us extend our love to your family,
LaDoris

To Brenda, Altamead and the family:
Retired Major James Morgan Jr., will be remembered as a giant in the field of Law Enforcement and Corrections. He was my major at Leon County Sheriff's Office and has truly made an impact on many individuals, especially deputies and officers in surrounding counties.
A Public Servant, Major Morgan dedicated his life to serving the citizens in Leon and Gadsden County. Most importantly, he was a provider and loved his family.
Major Morgan, has been a husband, father, grandfather and leader. Unfortunately, the time has come to retire his "earthly badge" and put on his full armor for God.
Psalm 121(1-2), I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Morgan Family, pray to God for strength. He will wipe away tears, ease your pain and surround your family with his angels during your bereavement.

Mrs. Morgan & Family;
I send my deepest condolences to you and your family about the passing of your husband, Major James Morgan Jr. He was one of the most patient and giving individuals that I've ever met in my life. I always viewed him as a second Father figure when we were neighbors back in the 70's and I'll continue to include his name in my conversations about stalwarts of Bond Community. Even though I moved away from Tallahassee in the fall of 1977 and didn't move back until the summer of 2005, he didn't hesitate for one second when I asked for his reference for employment with Leon County Schools. Heaven has a wonderful Law Enforcement Officer personnel to welcome now!
With Sympathy;
