Dr. Foster, you and Mrs. Foster have always shown me and my family the warmest of love and concern. While my mother was a student in vocal education (Concert Choir) at FAMU in the 70's and when I came in the mid 90's in the Marching 100. Many blessings to you and your family and may God's angels stay encamped around you. I will always remember her and her colorful stories of the students that she taught and of "how things used to be." I only pray that I can find true love such as you and Mrs, Foster shared. I count it a privilege and blessing to have been in both of your presence.

This is a woman who maintained poise and the definition of a true Lady while being a mother, an educator and the wife of the notorious Dr.William P.Foster. Everytime I saw her I watched her love for the young adults of Famu and especially The Marching 100. She is dear to my heart and will be missed. Beside every great man is an even greater woman. May God continue to bless your family. God didnt bring you to this without knowing He will bring you through this.

Dr. Foster, though it has been a while since I have been in the "Marching 100" 1977-78, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your beloved wife, Mrs. Mary Foster. I was a freshman in Fall'77 (Symphonic Jan-May 1977, Marching 100 Aug-Dec 1977; when the freshman bus to Miami classic left where 4 freshman also were left in the Orlando bus station. When the coach you and your wife were riding came into Orlando bus station you stated that we could board the upper classmen bus. I sat right behind you and your wife and felt very safe from the upper classmen at the rear. You and she always shielded individuals from adverse issues. I salute you for your pain-staking watch over your wife and know that you are truly biessed in your efforts.

Oh Wow! I loved Mrs. Foster so much. I will never forget in 98 we stopped at a Golden Corral and there was this game with a grip on it that grabbed stuffed animals.

Mrs. Foster did not have any quarters to play the game so she turned to us and asked us for quarters. We gave her all the quarters we had and watched her play it over and over.

There was this one stuffed animal she kept going after but she could not get it. She turned and said "Phooey! I wanted that stuffed animal so bad, this game is not fair". My freshman brother's and I hit the ceiling with laughter because she was the sweetest and cutest woman on earth.

I had the opportunity to go to Dr. Foster's home one day and when I saw her beloved stuffed animal collection I was in awe. I now know why Mrs. Foster's energy was so contagious to every student she encountered on the hill. She was as warm, soft, sweet, and cuddly as every single one of those stuffed animals.

Thank You Mrs. Foster for showing us all that LOVE is the key and the way to be.
