Nancy Noakes Obituary
Nancy Geisel Noakes, 69, of Tallahassee died Friday (6/30) at her daughter's home. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, she came to Tallahassee in 1972 from Oregon. She enjoyed crocheting and shared the blankets she created with many others, including regularly donating them to the neo-natal unit at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and the Christmas Connection organization. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years: Steven R.; daughter: Tracy N. Awwad of Tallahassee; son: Brian R. of Tallahassee; and four grandchildren: Kayla, Ryan, Sabreen Awwad, and Yusef Awwad.
The family will receive friends at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road on Wednesday (7/5) from 10 AM until 11 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, 32308.

My condolences to her family and friends she was so sweet a Sweet Christian friend....I still have a blanket she made for my newborn daughter in 1976 bicentennial red white and blue I loved Ms Nancy She and my sister Pat were best of friends God rest her sweet soul a faithful soul to God..Rest Easy In paradise MS.Nancy....faymari

Our deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of this amazing woman. I have so many good memories of the visits and family gathering throughout the years. RIP Aunt Nancy. You will never be forgotten and will forever be loved.
