Thinking about my Family this weekend on the 3rd anniversary of Uncle Oscar´s passing. Remembering who he was to his family and to me. Missing his presence. Remembering the support he and Aunt Norma provided to me during my husband´s passing.
Remembering all the encouragement and advice he offered through the years. God bless his soul and his legacy. What a Man!

It is never easy to say goodbye to someone we love so much. Knowing that so many people were loved and touched by him helps. Even more so, because he lives in their memories. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that there is a hope of seeing your loved one again. My sincere condolences.

Oscar was my brother David's and I mentor in the MDFD. Enough cannot be said about what he brought to our lives in the fire service. His encouragement and confidence in our ability to one day become leaders, inspired us to achieve heights reserved for only a few. He will always be remembered with fondness and respect.

I first met Chief Brennan in 1997 during a BCOC conference. At the time I was a Battalion Chief with the San Jose (CA) Fire Department, and eager to learn how to be the best Chief Officer possible. Chief Brennan and the other Chief Officers of the BCOC were welcoming and supportive. Throughout the years we would connect at the annual BCOC conference. He would ask how my career was going and always offer career guidance. The Chief helped countless Firefighters to better themselves and to prepare for advancement. He is truly a legend in the fire service and will be missed.

My heart felt condolences to Oscar's lovely wife, family and friends. He was my cousin. He will be remembered in my mind as a sincere upbeat guy who always respected and took care of his Mother, my Aunt Florence. God bless the family and may he rest in peace.

Its gives us comfort to think that our Aunt Florence Brennan was standing at Oscar's bedside at the time of his transition home. What a wonderful bond they shared1 What a wonderful life and family he built. From that shy teenage boy in Homestead, who raised pigeons in the yard who went on to become one of the most outstanding men in our country! God bless you, Cousin Oscar for a job well done! To his family, please know that the Adderley family joins you in your celebration of his life and your time of loss. God bless you all!
