Patricia L. Suter

Patricia L. Suter, 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her home in Tallahassee following a sudden illness.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Major Fred Lee Pollard and Kathryn Newlin Pollard.

Pat lived in Tallahassee for 32 years, was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and proud mother of two sons and four grandchildren. She loved sports and leisure activities; she cherished her bridge cards group and bowling league where she had many good friends. Pat was always willing to help family, neighbors and friends in their time of need. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Pat is survived by husband Robert J. Suter; son Thomas Suter and wife Amy, grandsons Robert, Drew, and Conrad of Tallahassee; son Robert (Rob) Suter and wife Sarah, granddaughter, Anabel of Gainesville. Extended family survivors include aunt, Ina Vane; brother, Fred Pollard; and a myriad of cousins, especially Edward and Larry Spangler, all located in Maryland.

Visitation with the family and friends will be held on Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee (850/385-2193). Services will be held at 10:00 AM, EDT, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A private interment will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.

BEVIS FUNERAL HOME of Tallahassee is assisting the Suter family with their arrangements.

Par was an archangel with an "EverReady" personality. In addition to her family, bridge, church she was always there for her friends in need. She even assisted those she didn't know. Her friendship is a treasure to us and we had many wonderful times and laughter together.

Skip, Tommy, Robbie and family, I was fortunate to know Pat (and you) through my friendship with the Salters family. Pat was a special person--always willing to help her friends and family and always quick with a laugh and a good wish for others. When ever I ran into Pat, I knew I would share a few minutes of catch up conversation and a several laughs. When I think of her, I will remember her upbeat and warm spirit. My sympathies to all of you as you hang on to your memories and learn to live without her. She has left you with good tools for life and she will be watching over all of you always.

Dear Family - I am deeply saddened to learn of Pat's death. I knew her through where I worked and always looked forward to her visits. The last time I saw her was at the grocery store. Surprised to see me on a Monday morning not at work, she was overjoyed to learn that I had recently retired. She was a sweet lady who dearly loved her family. I know you will miss her very much.
