Hey Sister, I sent a note regarding Phillip right after the incident. Perhaps the "Tootzie" address is no longer being used. But you KNOW how much I love YOU and Philip. We were neigbors, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ. What more can be said? Philip is fine now. It's you and the family I will continue to pray for. I will pray for your family's comfort, love and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Contact me if you need me or just want to talk. ron gometz

Dear Fay Ann,
I don’t know what it’s like to lose someone under the circumstances that you have. But whenever someone you love is gone, there is always an empty spot in our lives. I can imagine that you are hurting. Those who knew Philip could tell that he loved you very much. I hope you are surrounded with your own friends and family that can comfort you during this time. With all my love,

To FayAnn, family and the many friends of Philip Abraira -- We had the blessing of having Philip and FayAnn join our Sunday School class in Houston. While they humbly professed to be "learners," they were in fact wonderful teachers to all of us not only with their words, but with their quiet, loving manner. We have missed them both since their move to Tallahassee. We join all who have expressed shock and sadness at Philip's passing, and we will rejoice in that wonderful time when we all meet again in the eternal life to come. As Thanksgiving Day approaches, let us all give thanks to God for the gift of Philip Abraira.

Dear FayAnn, Unfortunately Jean and I had very few times to share with
Phillip since you were living elsewhere much of the time. Those times we were together Phillip made a wonderful impression you could never forget. You were both blessed for the time you had together. Phillip's memorial service was the most wonderful I have witnessed. Jean and I remember you in our prayers. May God bless you, Bill and Jean Cathriner

Fayann and Family,
I stall catch myself saying Fayann and Phiip, for when I think of one of you, I think of both of you.
I cherish the memory of you two coming to my house and "camping out" as I called it for the FSU football games through the years. I always enjoyed the company of you and Philip during those trips.
I admired that beautiful smile, his quiet, pleasant mannerisms and his seemingly smart head for business.
He was never less than a true genteman in all respects and in all dealings with me and my family. Ray had the highest regards for Philip and traveled 6,000 miles to attend his funeral and to visit with the family afterwards. Carol had the greatest respect for Philip and showed it in many ways through the years. She always spoke very highly of him. And my personal feelings echo their sentiments, too.
Our lives will always have a void due to the lack of his presence and I'll cherish his memory very much.
I'm also very proud of the record he made at FSU as a football player and in track. I'm proud to have considered him (and you) very close friends. HIs death really grieved me.
Much, much love,
Maggie (Mary J. Marchant)

I only knew Philip for 15 months, but they are months that will be with me for the rest of my life. I work at FTA and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work for this wonderful man. Grace, patience, wit and intelligence are only a few words that describe this most wonderful man. My life will be better for having known him, and yet a piece will be lost because he isn't here to share life with us. FayAnn, I love you both so very much...and always will.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Philip's passing. He was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was a true, first class gentleman. Although I only worked with him briefly, I felt as though we had been friends for years. My most sincere sympathy to Philip's entire family.

FayAnn, Amy and I are deeply sadden to have learned the news of your loss. I learned a great deal from Philip, who was a great leader in business and someone who was admired by everyone who knew him. Amy and I still remember the kindness you showed us by attending our wedding reception at the Niko Hotel in 1995. The pewter fish shaped serving platter was especially meaningful given it's importance as a symbol of Christianity, a faith that Philip embraced. I have confidence that you will be reunited with Philip on that great day to come. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

In Christ's Love,
Chad & Amy

FayAnn, Ann and I are both shocked and saddened. I truly enjoyed working with and for Philip. He was quick witted, funny, bright and willing to put up with Marvin and I. At times he was never was sure if we were being serious or just playing with him. But, he stuck with us and I know that I enjoyed working for Philip.

Here's wishing you and your family the best and know that Ann and I are praying for you.

When I think about all the people I have met in my life only a few have made the kind of life altering impact that Mr. Philip Abraira did for me. His leadership, mentoring and encouragement made me become a better father, husband, and friend. It was Philip that approved my first technical training which led me to a career that has taken me to some of the top companies in the country. Philip, the people that had the pleasure of knowing you were left better for it, you will be missed by many. Until we are all reunited and walking the golden streets of heaven together, thank you for being my friend.

Fayann and family we are so sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you…

Fayann and Family,
It is with great sadness that we send these words of sorrow, hope and love. We were obviously shocked and saddened at this news; as Philip, and you Fayann, are special in your outgoing, friendly and humble ways. Barb and I both know you are strong and have family and friends you can depend on for support at this trying time in your life. I know your faith in God will pull you through this difficult time Fayann, and God will help us all understand why things happen when we try so desperately to understand. Fayann, God bless you and your family. Our prayers are with you and Philip.

Cathy and I send to you and your family, FayAnn, our heartfelt sympathy. Philip was a special individual with caring qualities and one to whom people gravitated. He was a colleague of mine while each of us worked for Trimac and I came to know him, to respect him, and to enjoy his engaging personality and thoughtful insights. A measure of the man is the many friendships he left in his wake and they were legion. He will be missed and you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Fayann and family members and friends of Philip: Please accept my sincere condolences and sympathy.
We have lost a wonderful friend, and his class and spirit will be missed by all of us.
I have known Philip for 42 years and in all those years I have never encountered a single person who did not like and respect him. He was so honorable and honest. A gentle, gentleman. I loved discussing FSU football (good and bad) with him, and will cherish the memories of ribs at Sonny's, a couple times a month, when he lived with me.
I feel an emptiness and a profound loss. I cannot imagine how his family must feel. Please take some solice in knowing that Philip will be remembered as a man among men whose like shall not pass through out lives again. I miss him very much and love him like a brother.

FayAnn, our hearts and prayers go out to you and all of Phil's family. We have such fond memories of our few years with Phil back at Syntron in Houston. Several years ago when I ran into Phil and was chatting with him, he amazingly pulled from deep within his scheduler a phone list from Syntron with perhaps 20 people total on it. Isn't that just like Phil to keep his old friends so close and in his mind? We hope you and the family find peace in the days ahead.

Phil and I were classmates and fellow athletes in high school and college. If you ever saw him on the football field, you wouldn't forget it. I've never seen another football player who could match his grace and finesse on the field. Beyond that, he was a very good person. I was priveleged to know his brothers Mark and John for whom I will always have a special affection... he cared deeply for you guys.
Most recently, I count myself lucky to have met up with him again in Houston, and thus to have met his beautiful FayAnn. What a great lady he married!

I had the privilege of working with Philip in Houston at DSI as one of the many Trimac employees trying to make changes. Philip made such an impression on me as a co-worker but more so as a person.
