So I can’t believe we have been missing you for a year now. It feels like an eternity since you left, but not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. I just ask that you continue to watch over us all. Although my heart still aches, I know that you are happy and at peace and that is all I can ask for. I love you Dennis, and will miss you forever.

Dennis,
So today marks one month since the last time you were here, but I know that you are still watching over us everyday. Although it hurts, we cannot be selfish as you are in the best place of all. We know that you have become another one of the guardian angels watching over the family now– and that one day we will all be together again in the kingdom in the sky. I love you very much Dennis and will always have a place for you in my heart.

Words really cannot describe the feelings that I have felt over the past few days. My love goes out to all of you, Ed, Carol, Shan, Aunt Judy, everyone. Dennis was a big part of all of our lives, and has made an impact that each of us will keep in our hearts until we can join him again in heaven one day.
We miss you Dennis – I love you very much and know that you will be watching down on us always.

Lastinger Family, I am so sorry that this tragic and awful thing had to happen to such a smart and caring young man....I never met Dennis personally but had spoken with him over the phone and he was truly a bright and intellegent young man. I am awfully sorry that his life had to be cut so short but am most assured that he is looking down over us all from Heaven.

To the Lastinger Family~ Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this sad time. May the Lord and the memories of Dennis bring you comfort. It was a special privilege to grow up with many of you in Aucilla and a joy to watch Dennis grow up. I know if he could say anything to all of us in our time of sorrow he would smile his Cheshire cat grin, do his little boxing move on our shoulder and tell us not to be sad. He would say that he was happy and that he now had all the wide open space of Heaven to play in. Thank you Dennis for touching my life! Blessings to the family.

Carol and Ed, Words can't express the loss of a child. This just saddens my heart to know you have had to experience such a tragedy. Just know that he is happy and in a better place. Dennis would not won't you to be sad. Be joyful of the happiness that he did bring to your lives.
