Mr. Robert James (RJ) Snyder, age 26, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Tallahassee, FL. RJ was born on February 26, 1985 in Augusta, GA and had lived in Tallahassee since 1993 coming from North Augusta. He worked in the Landscaping business and was a avid hunter and outdoorsman. RJ was of the Christian Faith. Survivors include,wife, Brittany (Wade) Snyder of Tallahassee, FL
son, Robert Waylon Snyder of Tallahassee, FL, father and mother, Bobby and Sharlot Snyder of Tallahassee, FL, brother, Grayson Matthew Snyder of Tallahassee, FL, paternal grandmother, Fran Snyder of Blountstown, FL, maternal grandparents, Eunice Viola Ashton and Dennis Ashton of Tallahassee, FL, Maternal great grandmother, Eunice Morgan of Tyler, TX. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 am (CDT), 12:00 pm (EDT) at the Blountstown United Methodist Church in Blountstown with Reverend Harold Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, FL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5:30 pm (CDT)-6:30 pm (EDT) until 7:30 pm (CDT)-8:30 pm (EDT) at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL. The family request in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Brittney and Waylon Snyder at 800 Apple Street, Tallahassee, FL 32317. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL

RJ, I enjoyed our family dinners together. It was such a special time for me. I loved when you called me Aunt Barbie, and how even after you became a man you still called me Aunt Barbie. To me that was really special. I enjoyed your hugs. You grew to be such as special man. I will miss you and your smile. I know you touched a lot of lives because you had so many friends. You were meant to be with us a short time unfortunately because God had a purpose for you. I will only know what that purpose is when I reach heaven and see you. To quote a song your Uncle Mike once sang in church. "Look for me, I will be there too". You were such as joy to me.

I had the pleasure of getting to know RJ being his nurse a couple of times while in the hospital. Robert and I talked about God, prayer, and Heaven. He was a fighter, so strong. Only when we reach Heaven will we understand why he left so young. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family during this time. May God's peace surround you, each and every one.

Sharlot, Bobby, Gray & Brittany - Chris & I are so sorry for this massive loss in your lives and really, all of our lives. Your family has been such a huge part of our life in Tally & what a blessing you all have been to us. We love RJ like he was one of our own and enjoyed so much our time together, working & laughing. I was given the most precious gift anyone could receive when God gave me you. God blessed me with an angel that would change the lives of so many. I didn't realize that because you were so special I would only have a short time to hold you, to rock you, to see you look at me and smile. To tell me how much you love me but more how much you showed me and your entire family how much you loved us all! It was hard to spend my last days with you here on earth knowing that I will never hold you again in my arms to rock you and tell you I love you. I know I will see you again when my last days here on earth come. Knowing this does not ease the pain of the loss of you. I do have the added blessing of a wonderful grandson your father and I will help to make sure he grows up well. Thank you RJ for being such a wonderful son, a sweet and caring soul and bright light for others to gravitate to. You have blessed us all and we Thank you for you being who you were. A wonderful man. I never could have imagined how big of an impact one person can have on so many others. I guess I never considered a person as strong willed and big hearted as RJ Snyder. To see all the lives he touched and the people who cared for and admired him is just amazing! I admired him for the way he loved my baby sister and the way he embraced each day and lived it to the fullest. He was a wonderful husband to Brittany and a GREAT daddy to Waylon. He was also a wonderful brother to me. I love you, RJ, and will miss you more than words could ever express. Brittany, I love you, Baby!! Hey buddy when I talked w u less than two weeks ago I was so worried bout u but u calmed my fears and before we got off the phone u said call brittnay, u knew she needed to talk but I think inside u some how knew. I remember when u and britt started dating I was so proud for u this beautiful young girl that u could laugh and have fun with. RJ was such a bright light in this world! I am so incredibly sorry that you all have to go through this pain of losing a son, husband, brother and father.. RJ, I never thought we would have to say good-bye to you so soon... we are all going to miss you so much. You made me laugh so many times, I can't even count. Even if I was in a bad mood you could always make me smile, and I know it was the same way for a lot of people. I think God must have had big plans for you to have taken you away from the world so early. You were a truly special person and I'm lucky to have known you, and I know that Mike will miss you SO much because you made a huge impact on his life. He really loved you, and I know he is going to miss his brother more than anything.
