Jennie, I am so sorry for your loss. Roger was great person with a kind heart. I will always remember that I was the first tattoo that No Regrets inked, but most importantly I know how much of a friend he has been to my brother and sister in law, he was like family to them and of course you and the family still are.

I am going to miss Roger tremendously. My children will miss their Uncle Roger each day and this is a huge loss for all of us. Jennie know that you are loved and supported by what is left of us Iley's. We have all endured so much and to lose him now is so hard to accept but he is pain free now and with us each day I truly believe that. I love you Jennie, Fiona, Drizzt and Annerice. We will all come through this together.

Dear Jennie:

I'm sorry to not be able to come down with Ginny for Roger's service. One of the things I most remember about Roger was that he was a friend to so many. As I understand it, that wonderful and loving side of you and Roger's life was part of the difficulty you had to face. Very sad.

Not a Catholic, I find myself praying for Roger's soul each day. I feel very encouraged by the presence of the rosary in Roger's hand. One of my favorite passages of scripture comes from Romans 8, "...nothing can separate us from the love of God." I believe Roger is experiencing that now.

My heart broke in hearing about Fiona's comment about "being sorry for the juice." Out of the mouths of babes.

I am so pleased that you have such a loving and supportive family that I hope you will allow to surround you with love, as you have done for them in the past.

I have always loved closing a memorial service with these lines that I now offer to you: "The bonds of life are now broken, but the bonds of love can never be broken." Pax, Scott Smallwood

Jennie, I was devastated to hear about Roger and the short life that he lived. He was an easygoing, loving, caring person and an amazing friend. He touched many lives in one way or another and I miss him greatly. I am so thankful that I have a beautiful tattoo by him and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Roger.

Jennie,
There are no words that will take away the pain and fill the hole left in your heart.Only time. But know this he was much loved, will be missed by all who knew him. He is in the arms of the angels, and is at peace. You and your family are always in our prayers. David and I will never forget this kind gentle soul.

To the family: We at Jacob Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will surely miss Roger and his wonderful smile and demeanor. For the short time that I knew him, it was a blessing. We looked forward to seeing and sitting with him at church. I am so glad that he was able to confess Christ as his Savior. Just remember, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Keep the faith.
