CARROLL, Aaron Tyrone

Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Aaron Tyrone Carroll of Tampa who passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 4 pm at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Ernest Coney, officiating. Aaron was born Oct. 16, 1955 in Elkton, MD and was a longtime resident of Tampa. He loved playing the guitar and was a skilled painter. He enjoyed his family and had a good sense of humor and was an all-around sportsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Thomas Johnson and Bernice E. Carroll. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Aaron Tyrone Carroll (Natasha); grandchildren, Shawndra Mathis, Malik, Arianna, Aaralyn, and Sumayyah Carroll, Jasmyn Simmons, Jaylen Martin, and Marquis Sullivan; brothers, Jamie Johnson (Yoshiko), Bruce Ennals, and Charlie Johnson; sisters, Deborah C. Allen (Nicholas), Theresa E. Carroll, Darlene Slaughter, and Judy Ann Dorsey (Paul T. Grey); aunt, Helene Slaughter; a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; devoted friends, Mary Burgess and Poquita White. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, Feb. 12, from 5-8 pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel Saturday for the service.
