THORNTON, Albert Jr.

Bar-Be-Q Red

age 78, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Sept. 28, 2014.He retired from St.Petersburg Times as a delivery driver. He is survived by five sons, Michael King, Cornell and Raymond Thornton, Marion Moody, and Vincent McIntyre; three daughters, Mary Welch, Althea Thornton; and loving, caring Vivian D. Hampton; two brothers, Al N. Thornton and Rev. Ramon D. Thornton; one loving and devoted sister, Ruth T. Dorn; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation on Friday 3-8 pm, at Lawson Funeral Home. Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 4, 1 pm, at Greater Grand Central M.B. Church 3901 19th Ave.S.
