Ann JURASEK Obituary

JURASEK, Ann Mahoney, 82, of Oceanside, N.Y., who was

born April 20, 1927, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at South Nassau Comm-unities Hospital in Oceanside. She was a retired Pan Am switchboard operator, and a former resident of Banner Elk and Tampa. Ann Jurasek is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Linda Petrizzi of Oceanside and Nancy Preudhomme of West Babylon, N.Y.; two sons, Robert Jurasek of Miami Beach, Fla., and John Jurasek of Apple Valley, Calif.; and one brother, John Mahoney and wife Lillian of Tampa. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A funeral Mass for Ann Jurasek will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Joe Mulligan. Burial will follow in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Nassau County American Legion Legacy Fund, in care of Frank Colon, 85 Cleveland Ave., RVC, New York, 11570.
