LAMOUREUX, Barry E.

The family of Barry E. Lamoureux is saddened to announce his passing March 15, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Barry was born May 2, 1943 in Leominster, MA to the late Edmond and Cecile Lamoureux. His family moved to Florida when he was 8 years old. Barry is predeceased by two brothers, Bruce and Richard. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frankie Harrison Lamoureux; daughter, Denise Barton (Frank) of Spring Hill; son, Barry Harrison (Kathy) of Old Lyme, CT; sister, Barbara Yates and brother, Ron Lamoureux; mother-in-law, Nellie

Harrison; grandchildren, Sam, Rick, Zach, and Catharine and many nieces and nephews. After graduating from St. Petersburg High School, Barry enlisted and proudly served his county in the Air Force. He was stationed in Germany and Ft. Lee, VA. After his service in the Air Force ended, he was employed at ECI in St. Petersburg. During those years he played tournament volleyball, both indoors and on Treasure Island beach. Most of his life he worked as a residential electrician. He also worked as a supervisor at Harland and was a truck driver. He and his family have made their home in Spring Hill since 1976. After retiring, Barry continued to enjoy long Harley rides, camping and dirt biking at Croom, campfire parties, playing cards, classic movies, and football, especially the Gator games. A celebration of his life will be at his home Saturday, March 21, between 5-7 pm.
