Barry Nierengarten Obituary
69, of Oldsmar, FL, passed away Nov. 14, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born Feb. 13, 1956 in St. Cloud, MN, Barry enjoyed ice fishing and skiing in the winters and spent his summers at Big Fish Lake before his family moved to Clearwater Beach in 1975. From 1974–1977 he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Sequoia Presidential Yacht. Barry was an avid athlete, award-winning skier, loved boating, the outdoors, and Tampa Bay sports. He owned a local courier business for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Brooke McDonald (Doug); grandchildren, Grace and Bennett; older brother, Brad (Jan); and sister-in-law, Shari (Bryan). He was reunited in heaven with his parents Bunny McCann and Willie Nierengarten, and his twin brother Bryan. A memorial service will be held at Sylvan Abbey on Dec. 6 at 3 pm.
